The swing is for your glutes, as he? stated correctly in the video. Your glutes are responsible for hip extension. She was barely getting any hip flexion/extension in that exercise. All her bend was coming from her lower back, not her hips. She was working her erector spinae more than her glutes. She's supposed to be using her glutes to create the kettlebells momentum, not her lower back.

I have a 4? year degree in Strength and Conditioning and have been a PT for 5 years since graduating. Her lower back was acting as the fulcrum in the swing and not only was she locking out her knees she was popping/snapping which is exponentially worse. Not that this means it's any worse than the rest of the 60 bucks and 2 x 8 hour day certified personal trainers putting videos on the tube.
